Hightech American Industrial Laboratories, Inc. of Lexington, MA is a family-owned and operated small business in the medical device manufacturing industry. Founded in 1996, HAI Labs is the only U.S. manufacturer of specular microscopes and cell analysis systems used by eye banks, ophthalmologists and optometrists worldwide, as well as a pioneer in digital video slit lamp imaging hardware and software.

In 2011, thanks to online training programs from the SBA, we completed the process of registering as a federal government contractor and started securing and fulfilling contracts from the U.S. government. As a woman-owned business, we were enabled by SBA resources like "The WOSB Advantage" to further expand our contracting opportunities.

This year, HAI Labs and its non-profit arm, the HAI Center for Humanity, jointly launched the Next Generation Scientists of America program. For each equipment sale made domestically, HAI Labs will fund one local K-12 classroom in need of supplies for scientific exploration and learning. We are committed to supporting the building blocks of education for tomorrow’s researchers, doctors and engineers, and this is our way of giving back to the communities in greatest need of help.
