Nanocomp Technologies is a Concord NH producer of high performance sheets, tapes, wires and yarns made from high concentrations of carbon nanotubes, which are considered the strongest, lightest and most conductive material known. The Company's first professional funding round was led by two SBA-backed early stage equity funds; one of these funds also provided SBA co-funded Operational Assistance grants. With that first round, the Company has grown from 2 employees to 50 and sustained 75 additional jobs in the local community. Thanks to SBA's equity and to engagement from the Department of Defense, Nanocomp has become the leading player in this class of advanced material, which stands to transform industries that include aerospace, defense, aviation, automotive, energy and consumer markets.
